COUNTRY RECOGNITION

Which country is gold?

Correct answer: 3 points

Need a clue?

Hint 1: a neighbour (or nearby country). Hint 2: the capital, marked on the map.

    How to play

Name the gold country. A correct answer earns 3 points, or 2 after one hint and 1 after two hints. A wrong answer earns 0 and ends the round.

Only countries, never states. Ten random questions without repeats. Pan and zoom freely. Green countries are neighbour hints; purple dots mark capital hints.

The first hint reveals a land neighbour, or a nearby country if there is no land neighbour. The second reveals the capital or a labelled government-seat exception. Generalized borders on Around 1750. Questions use the 135 independent states mapped by CShapes; colonies are background only. Some microstates are not covered.
